Obama never lets a Dead Child go to waste
April 29, 2013As harsh as that variation on a theme might sound, it is more disturbing still that this has become one of the primary policy devices of the American left to advance their political agenda.
Most know the famous admission by Rahm Emanuel regarding a good crisis, but few of us can confess to the foresight to predict just how cravenly this overt policy of exploitation would come to be implemented. That it has been practiced at the expense of the populace and the security of our country is a fact, but the truth remains too distasteful for some to fully grasp.
The president does not mean well, and he is not trying to make things better. He is flooding us, overwhelming us, because constant emergencies require constant statist solutions.

Master of Projection Obama slams Republicans for gun reform ‘stunts’
April 9, 2013President Barack Obama accused Republicans of stooping to political stunts to block gun reform, in a fervent appeal delivered close to the site of the Newtown school massacre.
At a critical moment for hopes for sweeping action to stem gun violence, Obama traveled to Hartford, Connecticut, not far from Sandy Hook Elementary School, where 20 children and six adults were gunned down in December.
In sharp, impassioned remarks, he contrasted the courage of parents whose children were killed by a deranged gunman with US lawmakers he said feared the wrath of the powerful American gun lobby.
“Some folks in Washington are already floating the idea that they may use political stunts to prevent votes on any of these reforms,” Obama told a raucous crowd during his second gun control rally in a week.
“They’re not just saying they’ll vote no on ideas that almost all Americans support. They’re saying they’ll do everything they can to even prevent any votes on these provisions.
“What’s more important to you — our children or an A grade from the gun lobby?”

Obama to announce gun ban surrounded by props
January 15, 2013Fox is reporting that this gun ban will be demagogued announced as Dear Leader Obama is surrounded by sweet-faced props youngsters.
Somewhere Piers Morgan is smiling.
We might learn more between now and noon tomorrow, but as of now, nothing currently being reported points to anything with respect to the Obama White House pushing to restrict the entertainment industry’s First Amendment rights.
While the Left and the media (but I repeat myself) are quite obviously obsessed with their ongoing culture war against the kind of Red Staters these gun laws will predominantly affect, at least some phony, shallow lip service had been paid to the idea that certain video games and films that celebrate violence might also be part of the problem.
But like tax breaks for the rich, maybe Obama’s Hollywood pals have again managed to carve themselves out another sweet, plump exception.
