Marine Le Pen vs. bossy Global Elite

February 20, 2017

French far-right leader Marine Le Pen has gained ground on her main election rivals, it has emerged.

Support for Le Pen, head of the anti-immigration National Front, has surged with frontrunner Emmanuel Macron’s lead evaporating according to the Opinionway poll of voting intentions.

But the 48-year-old, who wants to take France out of the European Union, would still lose to Macron and conservative Francois Fillon in the May 7 run-off for the presidency, the poll showed.

Checking out the fakest Fake-News Checkers

February 20, 2017

Since President Donald Trump won the presidential election in November, there’s been an explosion of “fake-news” checker sites, some cloaked behind a veil of anonymity.

trustIn some cases, Americans really have fallen for “fake news.” Just days ago, 20th Century Fox apologized for creating “fake news” sites – such as as the Houston Leader, the Salt Lake City Guardian, Sacramento Dispatch, the New York Morning Post and Indianapolis Gazette – as part of a promotional campaign for its psychological thriller, “A Cure for Wellness.”

But on the heels of media hysteria over the trend, now it seems everyone claims to be a foremost expert on the topic of spotting “fake news.”

“Trust us,” they say.

Obama left behind ‘Land Mines’ for President Trump – VIDEO

February 19, 2017

In light of the recent flurry of leaks by the so-called “deep state”, which includes such agencies as the NSA and FBI and which last week lead to the resignation of Mike Flynn after a phone recording of his phone conversation with the Russian ambassador was leaked to the WaPo and other anti-Trump publications, an article published on January 12 by the NYT has generated renewed interest.
One month ago, the NYT reported that “In its final days, the Obama administration expanded the power of the National Security Agency to share globally intercepted personal communications with the government’s 16 other intelligence agencies before applying privacy protections.”

Campus Cry-Bully Culture creating Conservatives

February 17, 2017

Student demands for censorship get a lot of coverage. Spiked Online’s Free Speech University Rankings, now in its third annual edition, argues that there is a “crisis of free speech on campus”.

By analysing the censorious policies and actions that have taken place on British campuses, Spiked concluded that 63.5 per cent of universities actively censor speech and 30.5 per cent stifle speech through excessive regulation. You can barely go a few days without encountering a new op-ed covering censorship on campus.

Maajid Nawaz describes the students demanding censorship as members of the “regressive left”. Milo Yiannopoulos calls them “snowflakes”.

Republicans in Congress refuse to do the people’s will

February 16, 2017

Let’s compare what President Trump has accomplished since the inauguration (with that enormous crowd!) with what congressional Republicans have done.

In the past three weeks, Trump has: staffed the White House, sent a dozen Cabinet nominees to the Senate, browbeat Boeing into cutting its price on a government contract, harangued American CEOs into keeping their plants in the United States, imposed a terrorist travel ban, met with foreign leaders and nominated a Supreme Court justice, among many other things.

(And still our hero finds time to torment the media with his tweets!)

What have congressional Republicans been doing? Scrapbooking?

More than 90 percent of congressional Republicans kept their jobs after the 2016 election, so you can cross “staffing an entire branch of government” off the list. Only the Senate confirms nominees, which they’ve been doing at a snail’s pace, so they’ve got loads of free time — and the House has no excuse at all.

Michael Flynn was politically assassinated by The Deep State

February 15, 2017

Michael Flynn was politically assassinated by the deep state. If you are concerned about the threat President Donald Trump and his dysfunctional White House pose to democracy, you should think very seriously before cheering that on.

The “deep state” is a term used by some security analysts to refer to the network of permanent officials who execute the orders of their elected, but more temporary, bosses. In theory, they should serve politicians – and, by extension, the people. But if they start to act for themselves, that is very dangerous. And Flynn’s orchestrated downfall by unaccountable, shadowy agents entrusted with the country’s most sensitive secrets is not just bad news for the Trump administration. It raises serious concerns over the democratic nature of the US political system.

General Flynn hacked by Democratic Party operatives?

February 15, 2017

Remember the hue and cry raised by Democrats over the “Russians” hacking their candidates and party computer systems during the 2016 presidential election?

How there should be investigations? How someone – a Republican – must be at fault? How whatever interaction Donald Trump ever had with Russia, or Russians, was viewed suspiciously?

And now there are their attacks on Trump over Michael Flynn, his security adviser who was forced to resign this week over conversations with a Russian representative.

Investigate, they demand. Not just Flynn, but Trump, too.

“We’re not here to take in all the charity cases of the world.”

February 14, 2017

Monday on Sean Hannity’s nationally syndicated radio program, conservative author and commentator Ann Coulter maintained President Donald Trump was within his legal authority to act as he had with his executive order placing restrictions on those coming to the United States from seven predominantly Muslim countries.
