Teacher narrowly escapes jail after admitting sexual activity with a pupil

February 28, 2014

The husband of a teacher who spent the night with a 16-year-old pupil has told how she seduced the boy as revenge after he had an affair.

Bernadette Smith, 35, narrowly avoided a prison sentence this week after confessing her infatuation with her student Gary Ralston.

The court heard how she called the boy into her classroom at Banockburn High School in Stirling, and confessed her feelings for him. The pair later kissed passionately in a park, and spent the night in bed, where Smith wore just jeans and a bra.

‘Non-Stop’ movie quick review – no spoilers here

February 28, 2014

Beck said the killer’s rationale was something “nonsensical” along the lines of: “It’s the government that has been putting people like you, you drunkard, on planes and allowing you to be our TSA. And that’s just wrong. So I’m going to blow everything up and take the money. I’ve got a parachute here, so I’m going to live. And I’m going to take all the money, and I’m going to get away with it. A-ha, ha-ha, ha-ha, ha-ha.”

The multimedia personality told his audience that “no amount of research … can help these people in Hollywood,” because they simply cannot understand what a “wildly, wildly insulting movie” they made.

Not only is it an insult to the Constitution and the U.S. Military, Beck said, but it’s a disgraceful light in which to paint our veterans. He said many Americans did the same thing to those who served in Vietnam.

“We’re not taking care of their health,” Beck said. “We’re dismissing them when they get back. And now we’re making them into our terrorists in our movies. And it’s the same [weasels] that are doing it. Don’t go see Non-Stop.”

Beck’s co-host Stu Burguiere added that a listener wrote in: “Thanks for saving me around 25 bucks, guys. That’s way more than Obamacare ever did.”

Meth Cook busted wearing “Los Pollos Hermanos” t-shirt

February 28, 2014

Sheriff’s deputies busted a meth lab run by a young LaGrange man clad in a “Los Pollos Hermanos” t-shirt — the restaurant front for the meth dealer in the TV show Breaking Bad.

Cook County sheriff’s officers went to Daniel Kowalski’s house in the 1000 block of 61st Street in unincorporated Cook County near LaGrange Monday evening and found a fully operational meth lab. The 21-year-old Kowalski was on electronic home monitoring after a July 2013 bust for running a meth lab.

Married school teacher accused of rape and sodomy with a 16 year old boy

February 27, 2014

An Alabama grand jury has indicted a former teacher and cheerleading coach on eight counts of rape and sodomy of a boy under the age of sixteen.

Sixth-grade teacher Jennifer Collins McNeill, 39, was arrested last year and charged with six counts of rape and two counts of sodomy of a juvenile male – some of the alleged encounters took place on school grounds.

McNeill who was also a cheerleading coach, is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with the sixteen year-old student between April 2012 and June 2013. The boy did not attend the school where she taught.

Former school employee videotaped trying to have sex with a cow

February 27, 2014

A former employee of the Farmington School System faces criminal charges after New York police said he attempted to have sex with a cow.

Reid Fontaine, 31, and another man was arrested at a farm in Herkimer, New York, CBS Connecticut reported. The farmer had set up video surveillance in an attempt to figure out why his cows were anxious and milk production was down.

The Hartford Courant reported that Fontaine was charged with sexual misconduct, a misdemeanor. Also charged was Michael H. Jones, 35, of Ilion, New York.

Fontaine was an IT Network Specialist for Farmington schools for the last six months. School Superintendent Kathleen C. Greider has released statement about the incident.

Greider stated that school officials learned of the charges against Fontaine on Sunday, Feb. 23. The district contacted Farmington Police and requested an investigation. Farmington Police were then in contact with police from New York. Sunday night Fontaine resigned.

“The former employee did not provide instruction to students nor did he have responsibilities involving direct student contact,” Greider states.

Fontaine’s responsibilities involved the district’s technology infrastructure and hardware. Greider said a mandatory criminal background check did not turn up anything on Fontaine prior to him being hired.

American coup d’état Obama style

February 27, 2014

This is no small matter. The U.S. Constitution says that “all legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States.” When a president usurps a power that the U.S. Constitution explicitly assigns to Congress, it is nothing less than a partial coup. In fact, at this late date, it is a partial coup occurring toward the end of a long series of partial coups, which when completed will add up to a total Revolution. If the American people do not soon recognize what is happening (and find a way to stop it), we will find ourselves under a completely different kind of government, an absolutely unlimited government, without knowing how it happened.

Democrats have the perfect issue to distract from the horror of Obamacare

February 27, 2014

Democrats believe they’ve hit on the perfect issue to distract from the horror of Obamacare in the 2014 elections: the minimum wage.

Apparently, increasing the minimum wage was not important for American workers during the first five years of Obama’s presidency — least of all his first two years, when Democrats controlled Congress and could have passed anything. (And did!)
