Obama Media ignores lies in ‘The Road We’ve Traveled’ documentary

March 24, 2012

We all remember how the media attacked GOP frontrunner Mitt Romney’s credibility for days due to what they described as a “misquote” in one of his campaign ads, but up until now, other than obligatory reporting, this same media has refused to call any serious scrutiny or attention to the growing pile of falsehoods discovered in Obama’s reelection documentary, “The Road We’ve Traveled.”

Something else the media is all but ignoring is that the documentary is narrated by Hollywood A-lister Tom Hanks, who is now embroiled in a racial scandal surroundinga “blackface” incident caught on video tape in 2004.

An analysis published Wednesday by FactCheck.org identifies four more factual problems with Obama’s campaign film:

The Obama administration is pulling out all the stops in its bid to convince Americans it has led the country down the right path — one of prosperity and fulfillment. In fact, a recently released “docu-ganda“ titled ”The Road We’ve Traveled,” paid a 17-minute-long homage to the president, painting him as a flawless savior who rescued America from the plight caused by the “unsavory” Bush administration. To make matters worse, The Blaze reported that the film’s title, along with it’s central theme, have some dubious roots to say the least.

Obama propaganda film ‘The Road We’ve Traveled’ contains a $25 billion dollar lie

March 17, 2012

The Obama 2012 campaign has released a short film called “The Road We’ve Traveled,” detailing the challenges faced by President Barack Obama’s administration from day one through the start of the campaign.
But it’s not all roses for team Obama: part of the film contains a gross inaccuracy. Specifically, it claims that General Motors (GM) has fully repaid its federal bailout loan. It has not — meaning the documentary contains a $25 billion error.
Of the nearly $50 billion given to GM, just under half has been repaid to the government. Officials still argue the auto bailouts were a good investment due to the hundreds of thousands of jobs saved by that decision, and it is accurate to say that GM has returned to record profits — as have all the other major American automakers.
