Baby Alien found alive in Mexico

April 5, 2015

Is this bizarre creature really an alien baby or just part of an elaborate hoax – and was it the cause of a mysterious revenge death?

Mexican TV revealed the almost unbelievable story – in 2007, a baby ‘alien’ was found alive by a farmer in Mexico.

He drowned it in a ditch out of fear, and now scientists have finally been able to announce the results of their tests on this sinister-looking carcass.

At the end of last year the farmer, Marao Lopez, handed the corpse over to university scientists who carried out DNA tests and scans.

He claimed that it took him three attempts to drown the creature and he had to hold it underwater for hours.

Tests revealed a creature that is unknown to scientists – its skeleton has characteristics of a lizard, its teeth do not have any roots like humans and it can stay underwater for a long time.

But it also has some similar joints to humans.

Its brain was huge, particularly the rear section, leading scientists to the conclusion that the odd creature was very intelligent.

But it has seemingly left experts stumped.

Thousands given hysterectomies they don’t even need

April 5, 2015

It is a painful and embarrassing condition that affects millions of British women.

Pelvic organ prolapse, or POP, occurs when tissue supporting the pelvic organs – including the womb – becomes weak, typically after childbirth. Complications include an uncomfortable dragging or ‘full’ feeling, discomfort during sex or stress incontinence.

Although up to half of women are thought to suffer to some degree, far fewer seek help, and many who do are offered just one solution: a hysterectomy.

While surgical removal of the reproductive organs solves the immediate problem, it also ends fertility, and with three months of recovery needed, it is no quick fix.

Now, a leading gynaecologist has claimed thousands of patients may be undergoing the drastic operation needlessly.

He is one of a growing number of surgeons who claim not enough women are offered the alternative: a half-hour keyhole procedure that uses an implanted mesh ‘sling’ made from nylon to lift and hold the womb back in place, providing a permanent solution to a prolapse and preserving fertility.

Border Jumpers overwhelm CA DMV offices for drivers licenses

California – already beset by economic woes, budget shortfalls and a devastating drought that has resulted in mandatory rationing of water – now has another problem on its hands.

The state’s Department of Motor Vehicles is overwhelmed with applications for driver’s licenses by illegal aliens in a new program it established three months ago.

The DMV was prepared for offering license to 1.4 million illegals over the first three years of the program. But, in the first three months, it has been hit with nearly 500,000.

The number has surprised officials who spent months bracing for an influx of new customers by hiring staff, opening new DMV offices and extending hours.

The Easter Resurrection Story

April 5, 2015

From the Gospel of John:

Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him!”

The story of Easter

About 1960 years ago, Jesus and his friends and followers were in Jerusalem preparing for the special Passover celebrations.

At the same time, the chief priests and other Jewish officials were meeting at the house of Caiaphas, the High Priest, to discuss ways of capturing Jesus quietly, and killing him. They wanted to kill Jesus because they hated how popular he was with the people and thought he might take some of their power away, and also more importantly, they did not believe Jesus’s claim that he was the Son of God. “But we can’t do it during the Passover celebrations,” they agreed, “because the people might riot.”

Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus’s twelve disciples, went to the chief priests, and asked, “How much will you pay me if I betray Jesus to you?” They gave him thirty silver coins. From then on, Judas watched for a chance to betray Jesus to them.

On the first day of the Passover ceremonies, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where are we going to eat our Passover meal?” Jesus replied, “Go into the city and find a man carrying a water jar and tell him, ‘Our Master says, my time has come, and I will eat the Passover meal with my disciples at your house.'” So the disciples did as he told them, and prepared the meal there.
