Knox and co-defendant Raffaele Sollecito were originally found guilty of the 2007 murder of Meredith Kercher in 2009. In 2011, an appeals court overturned the conviction, but in 2014, that appeal was overturned and she was guilty yet again.
In addition to her murder charge, however, Knox was also found guilty of sexual assault on Kercher, in connection with a rape that allegedly occurred in the moments before the girl’s death.
