Two baby rabbits which survived being shot out of a HGV’s exhaust pipe have been named Smokey and Bandit.
The driver – who had not used his car transporter for more than a week – tried to start it up on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent, but had trouble getting it running.
After several attempts, his lorry sprang to life – but only after a loud bang from the exhaust.
When the driver checked round the back of his HGV he saw two blackened baby rabbits lying on the road after being shot out of his exhaust.
