When I started this website I was told it would never be popular because
A. – It has no theme or single focus
B. – I’m too old
C. – I don’t know what I’m doing, I don’t promote myself on Facebook or Twitter
D. – I don’t accept advertising so no one can boycott my advertisers – also, advertisers can’t tell me what to do
Thanks to you and other loyal readers
rashmanly.com has grown far beyond
any dreams I ever dared have about how many hits I would receive in nine years.
So after decades of rejection slips for my short stories I’m now more read than I ever would have been in some small publication.
If not for repeated failure, I never would have been driven to start a website with no computer experience and done it all single handed every day without days off ever.
My message to those who want a voice, Facebook and Twitter are not the only answers.
If I had built this site on Facebook it would have been deleted years ago.
Dreams can come true – working every single day no matter what helps.
Do the stories YOU believe in, and don’t try to please everyone or you will please very few.
