A two-year-old toddler
had a miraculous escape
in China after falling from
the 21st floor of
a tower block.
The little girl’s dad
is a builder who was working
on the building in Jianyang city,
Sichuan province, at the time.
Zhu Tianjun, 32,
said his wife had
brought their daughter,
Zhu Xinping,
to see him at work,
reports the Tianfu Morning Post.
“I was working on a wall,
while chatting with my wife,
leaving my daughter
playing by herself,”
he explained.

Suddenly his wife shouted
that Xinping was nowhere
to be seen.
They searched every corner
of the 21st floor but could
not find her.
Then they looked out of
the window and saw her
lying motionless on
a pile of soil.
They raced downstairs
and rushed the little girl
to hospital where they were
amazed to find she had
suffered nothing worse
than a broken leg
and minor internal injuries.
Xiang Bo,
director of paediatric care
at at Huaxi Hospital, said:
“This was so lucky.
It’s unbelievable that this
little girl suffered such minor
injuries after falling 21 floors.”
The couple believe their
daughter’s life was saved
by the freshly dug pile of
soil on which she landed
and which cushioned her fall.
