DIRTY DISHES the next big thing in music!

dirtydishes04

The NEXT BIG THING

since the Dixie Chicks
is going to be

   DIRTY DISHES!

This trio of talented
beautiful women is
going to be setting the
music world on it’s ear
with their mix of
country – bluegrass
and gospel.

Rash Manly (me) heard
just some samples
of their original tunes
in person Thursday
night and I was frankly
astonished and
amazed at the talent
and fresh sound.

No bland copycat twangs
or over used cliches
but something that you
must hear for yourself
for words fail me,
which does not
happen often.

Don’t walk,
RUN to their website
for a sample and listen
to THE NEXT BIG THING
in music before they
are a household name.

These DIRTY DISHES
make the copycat acts
sound washed up!

Dirty Dishes set to
clean up at BuskerFest

TORONTO Community News

For the second
year in a row,
the Dirty Dishes ar
promising to bring their
special brand of
silly nonsense, clowning
and banter to the
ninth annual
Scotiabank BuskerFest.

“People were just

having a ball last year.

This year will be even

more fun for us and

hopefully for the people

that watch us,”

said Suzie McKenney,

who plays guitar and

sings for the

whimsical band.

The Dirty Dishes,

which plays a repertoire

of cover songs as well as

original country, bluegrass,

folk and gospel music,

is one of the few musical

groups featured in next

weekend’s festival of

street performers.

The Dishes,

as the colourful trio

is also known,

is comprised of Beach Triangle

resident Suzie McKenney,

Parkdale resident Lisa Olafson

(guitar, ukulele, vocals)

and fiddler Alison Porter,

who hails from the

Lansdowne and Eglinton

avenues area.

All three members are

actors by trade with

university degrees in

musical theatre.

“We promise a lot of fun

at our shows and we

really enjoy doing

BuskerFest,”

McKenney said.

Antics aside,

The Dishes are most

well-known for their

love of three-part harmony.

“We all just love harmony.

It’s the highlight

of our group,”

 said McKenney,

adding the group

will be performing

new songs from their

recently released album,

Dirty Dishes Done Dirt Cheap,

at BuskerFest.
