Hollywood owes Emily Blunt a major one. The award-winning actress, 31, saved the day earlier this year, when she stepped in to rescue a legend.
Blunt dished to David Letterman on Tuesday, Nov. 25, about the time that she came to the aid of none other than Meryl Streep. The two stars appear in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of Into the Woods together, and things took a hairy turn during one day of shooting.
“I did save her life,” Blunt told Letterman of Streep, 65. “We were rehearsing a scene where she’s playing the witch and she’s supposed to jump onto the table with a cape and everything.”
