Political Correctness Police label Ellen DeGeneres ”transphobic”
March 5, 2014Openly gay chat-show host Ellen DeGeneres has been labelled ‘transphobic’ after she joked that Liza Minnelli looked like a drag performer at the Oscars on Sunday night.
‘Hello to the best Liza Minnelli impersonator I’ve ever seen,’ Ellen said to Liza as she walked around the audience on Sunday night.
Adding: ‘Good job, sir.’
However, other viewers disagreed the joke was transphobic, suggesting that the row that had erupted was ‘PC gone mad’.
