Because the media are more interested in protecting left-wing narratives than reporting facts, you might not know that a Russian ship, stuck since Christmas Eve in the Antarctic ice and carrying dozens of Global Warming researchers, discovered something more inconvenient than cold weather. What these Global Warming believers found is a lot more ice along their route than their research told them would be there.
Tuesday, after three fossil fuel-burning ice-breaking vessels failed to reach the Global Warming researchers, a fossil fuel-burning Chinese helicopter did. And after 10 days of being kept alive by burning fossil fuels, the researchers and tourists were finally rescued. Twenty-two members of the ship’s crew chose to stay aboard.
According to the National Geographic, which, as Newsbusters points out, is one of the few outlets willing to disclose what the researchers are in fact researching…
…The current crop of explorers are hoping to document some of the same data and compare them to Mawson’s numbers, “using the twist of modern technology,” Turney told National Geographic earlier this month.
As may be expected, global warming might play a role in this, he suggests, particularly with respect to melted ice in the East Antarctic.
Even though the researchers found themselves stuck just two weeks into a five-week trip, Chris Turney, the leader of the expedition and a climate change professor from the University of New South Wales, insists it is “silly” to believe the sea ice isn’t melting. The expedition then released a statement that seems to contradict itself. In part it reads, “Sea ice is disappearing due to climate change, but here ice is building up.”
Turney later told FoxNews.com the ice surrounding his ship is old, rather than recently formed, and likely from a particular 75 mile-long iceberg that broke apart three years ago. Climate change may have prompted the iceberg to shatter and float into the previously open sea where the mostly Australian team finds itself stranded, Turney said.
“The ice was swept across to this area by the South-East wind, its pieces creating a knock-on domino effect,” Turney told FoxNews.com, speaking from a tent erected on the stranded ship’s top deck. “We were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
But Turney’s statement seems to contradict news reports that say the ship was hit by an unexpected blizzard that caused temperatures to drop and enough ice to form around the vessel to trap it.
What we have here are dozens of Global Warming researchers, supposed experts who specialize in researching Antarctic ice, who were so wrong about their research that they themselves got stuck in this very same ice for 10 whole days.
Is this fact not relevant to the competency of the research done by these researchers?
And why are the media covering this fact up? I just watched a four-minute CNN segment on today’s rescue and The Most Trusted Name In News never once told its viewers what the researchers were researching.
It is behavior like this that only adds fuel to our suspicion that Global Cooling Global Warming Climate Change is either a left-wing hoax or backed by science so sketchy it can’t stand up to the smallest amount of transparency.
