The rumors are true – Johnny Depp proposed to Amber Heard! Gossip circulated earlier this week when Heard was spotted with a ring on that finger while dining out with a friend. Although she tried to keep it under wraps, a photographer managed to snag a photo.

According to Celebuzz, Depp proposed on Christmas Eve – but she didn’t answer him right away. “Amber really took her time to make up her mind,” a source shared. And this wasn’t the first time Depp had asked: “She turned him down before,” added the source, “before she said yes. So she waited and was thinking about it for a long time.”
The pair met on set of The Rum Diary and confirmed their relationship in June 2012, not long after Depp’s split from his partner of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis. Later this year, the newly-engaged couple will return to the silver screen together in London Fields

“She’s always dreamt of having a ranch. They were going to buy one in Texas, where she’s from, but they fell in love with the Nashville property as soon as they set eyes on it.
“Johnny isn’t bothered about living it up in Hollywood, he’d rather have the good life. While Amber loves to ride horses, Johnny’s serious about writing and playing music.”

“Johnny didn’t give up though — he missed her so much over the summer. They both love literature and the way he tried to win her back totally worked.
“Once they flew to his island in the Bahamas for a romantic break a couple of weeks ago, they were back on as a couple. Johnny’s the type to fall hard and he’s vowed not to let a girl like Amber, who’s beautiful and intelligent, slip through his fingers.”
