April 30, 2016

Will Ferrell has canceled plans to star in and produce a comedic film mocking President Ronald Reagan’s tragic battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

March 28, 2016

The bizarre presidential campaign of 2016 has another story sometimes hard to see: the old Leftist Establishment is on its deathbed. This does not mean that leftism is defeated, of course, but rather that the props that kept the small minority of Americans who are on the left able to control the agenda and the rhetoric of politics in America.

Czar Obama plots to further explode the number of people on welfare

August 24, 2014

More than one-third of Americans are now receiving means-tested federal benefits, and Heritage Foundation analyst Rachel Sheffield says the Obama administration is planning to vastly increase spending on welfare and now measures the success of public assistance programs by the number of people signed up for benefits.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Census Bureau released statistics showing nearly 110 million Americans lived in households receiving benefits from one or more welfare programs at the end of 2012. That amounts to roughly 35.4 percent of the population. The data show the programs with the most beneficiaries include Medicaid (nearly 83 million people), food stamps (more than 51 million) and the Women, Infants and Children program (22.5 million).

Sheffield said while the 2012 numbers do not represent a huge leap from recent reports, they do confirm the sheer size of U.S. public assistance expenditures.

“This is about one-third of the American population that receives some type of means-tested welfare benefit, which is a huge number. We have a welfare system that continues to increase in cost. There are 80 different federally means-tested welfare programs, so it’s a very large welfare system,” said Sheffield, who believes the government has a very wrongheaded approach to determining the success of these programs.

“Unfortunately, the federal government tends to measure welfare success by the number of people receiving benefits,” she said. “I think that’s really the key issue here, that mentality that a huge welfare system is a successful welfare system.”

King Obama has blown over $44 million tax dollars for vacations since his crowning

THE ENQUIRER exposes America’s most expensive president EVER!

IT’S champagne wishes and caviar dreams at the White House as the Obama administration turns into the most expensive presidency this country has ever seen, an eye-opening National ENQUIRER investigation has discovered.

While race riots raged in Ferguson, Mo. following the shooting of black teenager Michael Brown by a white police officer, President Obama was enjoying yet another family vacation – this one in Martha’s Vineyard.

In fact, Obama waited three days before appealing for calm from his posh vacation retreat 1,200 miles away from the unrest in the St. Louis suburb.

Meanwhile, the Commander-in-Spending has blown a whopping $44.4 million in taxpayers’ money just on travel and family vacations since taking office in 2009 – and he’s done more overseas travel than any previous president, our probe shows.

“The cost of the presidency is out of control!” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton told The

The respected watchdog concludes that Obama is living like a king and “doesn’t care about the costs to the taxpayers.”

Obama and the Left lust to destroy the American self-reliant mindset

June 27, 2014

Decades of socialist/progressive indoctrination in our schools, media, and culture, plus six years of Obama, have yielded a devastating unspoken consequence. It is the loss of who we use to be as Americans.

In his 1961 Inaugural Address, President John F. Kennedy said, “My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.” Democrats have perverted Kennedy’s inspiring challenge. Their dispiriting goal is to have as many Americans as possible controlled by and dependent on government, even for life itself, which is at the root of ObamaCare.

I mourn the loss of the independent, self-reliant mindset that made our parents great, and of the pride and dignity it generated within them. Welfare (government assistance) was a last resort and for the truly needy.

Today, far too many Americans see no shame in living on government assistance or scamming the system. The left’s campaign, led by the Obama administration, to instill an entitlement mindset in many has proven successful. The administration even campaigned targeting minorities, discouraging their instinct to be self-reliant. Even worse, the administration portrays getting on welfare as the honorable thing to do. Dear Lord, what kind of nation are we becoming?

Memorial Day 2014

May 25, 2014

On Memorial Day, all Americans should think about the sacrifices made by military service members, their spouses, and their children. Instead, many Americans spend it as a day off of work, having a barbeque or watching baseball games. American Thinker asked some former and current members of the military to consider what Memorial Day means to them

Czar Obama’s plan to bankrupt America coming to fruition

March 10, 2014

It’s no secret that the U.S. government is in serious fiscal trouble. So much so that our Treasury Secretary recently noted that should the debt ceiling fail to be increased, the fall-out would be “catastrophic” and last for generations.
Given that sobering report, consider that everything in America, from food to fuel, is subsidized in one way or another. Those subsidies are being paid with ever-increasing debt. It is inevitable that at some point the world’s reserve currency, the US dollar, will be wiped out. The trigger for such an event is irrelevant. What is relevant, is how average Americans will be affected when that day comes.
In recent months working Americans have seen their health care costs triple. But this is just the beginning. When America’s debt problems come to a head the subsidies will be removed, and that will lead to cost of living increases that will leave those who never saw it coming in a state of confusion and bewilderment with no way out.
