The real life psycho who inspired ‘Psycho’

September 12, 2015

ED Gein’s crimes have offered a gruesome feast for filmmakers for decades, and is the first in our True Crime Scene series – Crimes on Celluloid.

The extent of Gein’s deviancy was shocking enough, but his horrific activities spawned some of the most graphic slasher films of the 1970s.

And a warning, of the content in this article may – not surprisingly – disturb some readers.

One of America’s most notorious killers, Gein and his gruesome crimes “inspired” fare such as Psycho, Silence of the Lambs and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Born August 27, 1906, in Plainfield Wisconsin, Edward Theodore Gein was a shy and quiet young man.

File
Ed Gein at the time of his arrest in 1957. Gein, who was also a grave robber, would dig up women’s bodies and take home their body parts. He was 77 when he died in a mental hospital in 1984.
Gein grew up with his older brother Henry, a drunken father, George, and a religiously fanatical mother, Augusta.

His father, who was despised by his mother, died in 1940.

Gein looked up to his brother Henry, who died in a bushfire in 1944. It was rumoured that Gein killed Henry.

Psychopathy: The world’s worst and most destructive mental disorder

February 3, 2015

When talking to experienced persons during my seminars and conversations, I find some who have never heard of psychopathy, some whose knowledge of psychopathy ends with the fictional Hannibal Lecter, and some who have a vague memory from a course in college. But the most interesting responses are always from those who have worked for a boss whom they thought was “crazy” and who are utterly confused by their experiences, just as I was when I first worked for a psychopath forty-nine years ago. Statistically, about one-half of all workers will work for a psychopath within their lifetimes. I have had both women and men come up to me in tears after a seminar, grateful to learn that there was an explanation for their devastating experiences. Psychopathy is the world’s worst and most destructive mental disorder, and ignorance is not bliss

Is King Obama a Psychopath?

April 7, 2014

Alinsky’s disciples — including Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama — have a warlike political style. They learned politics as war from the Master. Obama is so well-trained in Alinsky tactics that he used to teach workshops on it. That is why Obama can knowingly violate Federal law against usurping the presidential power to negotiate with Iraq before ever getting elected. Actual election to head of state by the voters means nothing, just as it means nothing to Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer, who have negotiated with Syria and the Muslim Brotherhood in clear violation of law while serving in Congress.
