Kardashians create ‘Kanye Clause’

February 23, 2016

Shaken by Kanye West’s reckless tweets about sister-in-law Kylie Jenner’s Puma deal, brands are introducing a so-called “Kanye Clause” into big-money agreements with the Kardashian family.

Weimar Republic eerie mirror to today’s USA

February 23, 2016

2016 is a pivotal year in which accustomed referents of a stable West are now disappearing. We seem to be living in a chaotic age, akin to the mid-1930s, of cynicism and skepticism. Government, religion, and popular culture are corrupt and irrelevant—and the world order of the last 70 years has all but collapsed.

Neither the president nor his would-be successors talk much about the fact that we are now nearing $20 trillion in debt—in an ossified economy of near-zero interest rates, little if any GDP growth, and record numbers of able-bodied but non-working adults. (The most frequent complaint I hear in my hometown is that the government lags behind in their cost-of-living raises in Social Security disability payments.)

“Your doing with us has already played the mischief with us” – Frederick Douglass

February 23, 2016

Now that Donald Trump has won the South Carolina primary and Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz are very definitely second fiddles, we are all asking the old question allegedly asked by Freud about women.

What do the Trump voters want?

Perhaps the answer is in the great question asked by Frederick Douglass. “What shall be done with the Negro?” And his answer: “Do nothing with us.”

Most complained about Ads of 2015 – VIDEOS

February 23, 2016

The infamous MoneySuperMarket.com advert featuring a man dancing in hotpants and high heels was the most complained about campaign in 2015.

According to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) , the clip had more than 1,500 complaints from members of the public.

The advert shows a man strutting down the street in denim shorts and heels to the tune with the tagline “You’re so MoneySuperMarket”.

But 1,513 people didn’t find the joke funny, as they complained it contained “overtly sexual content” – none of the grievances were upheld.

This comes after the ASA revealed the top 10 most moaned about ads in 2015.

A Booking.com campaign came in second, with 683 people protesting that a TV and cinema ad was offensive and encouraged bad language amongst children.

Big Ed building Sheeple to obey The New World Order

February 23, 2016

In what I consider to be one of the most important essays written recently on the indoctrination of our children into a New World Order, Professor Patrick Deneen of Notre Dame sizes up the situation with this zinger:
Our students’ ignorance is not a failing of the educational system – it is its crowning achievement. Efforts by several generations of philosophers and reformers and public policy experts — whom our students (and most of us) know nothing about — have combined to produce a generation of know-nothings

Danielle Armstrong stacked and packed – Part ONE of FOUR

February 23, 2016

The seventeenth series of The Only Way Is Essex is gearing up to be explosive.

After the glamorous cast descended on the shores of Gran Canaria last week, Danielle Armstrong and Pete Wicks appear to have become embroiled in a fiery row.

The 27-year-old boutique owner was spied raging at the tattooed hunk as they joined the entire cast at a pool party on the Spanish island.
