Democratic debate moderator a past member of the Clinton Global Initiative

October 13, 2015

RUSH: Up first is Keith. It’s great to have you with us today, sir, and hello.

CALLER: Rush, I haven’t heard anybody compare the location that the Democrat Socialist Party’s having their debate tonight to the Republicans. The last Republican debate was in the prestigious Ronald Reagan Library. Their debate is in sin city in the middle of a casino where they should feel comfortable lying, sin city, okay for them to lie —

RUSH: Where was the first Republican debate?

CALLER: I believe it was in a Fox studio or something, like a community center or something.

RUSH: It was in Cleveland. It was the home of the Republican convention.

CALLER: Right.

RUSH: The upcoming Republican convention. Now, the reason the Democrats are in Vegas — I love your comparison. Here the Democrats are in sin city having their convention basically in a casino, but it’s also a union capital of the country. Las Vegas has unionized employees in practically every work endeavor in Las Vegas, and they have a lot of powerful union bosses in Las Vegas, and that is why they are there. I mean, in addition to whatever else, you know, why the DNC wanted to go there. I mean, it’s a week-long party at the Wynn and throughout the strip. I mean, I’m sure that there’s a lot going on out there this week just besides this debate and all that. But it’s an interesting observation, nevertheless.

CALLER: The only thing that would have made it better is if they would have got Brian Williams from MSNBC to moderate it.

Axeman of New Orleans was never caught

October 13, 2015

During several years in the early 1900’s, New Orleans teetered on the brink of panic after a string of horrendous murders that were as gruesome as they were terrifying. Reminiscent of an American version of Jack the Ripper, the ax-wielding serial killer known as “Axeman”, broke into homes across New Orleans in the middle of the night and savagely hacked his sleeping victims with an axe before quietly slipping away into the darkness. As with the Jack the Ripper murders that occurred in London during the late 1880’s, a canonical list of victims was attributed to the Axeman serial killer but in truth, nobody is sure how many victims died by his hand. Regardless, by the time the attacks suddenly ended in October 1919, at least a dozen people had been attacked with at least six people hacked to death in bloody fashion. The Axeman was never caught and his identity remains unknown.

Democracy briefly breaks out in the Republican Party

October 13, 2015

For the last week our Democratic friends, from the president’s press spokesman down to the usual suspects in the media, have been sneering at the Republican House Speaker election.

I get why Democrats would find it comical to see democracy breaking out. They don’t really do democracy in the Democratic Party. Not if they can help it.

But democracy is actually happening right now in the Republican Party and it is not hard to figure out why. Rank-and-file Republican voters are not happy with the national party leadership and many of their representatives are trying to send that message to the party leadership. Speaker resignations and candidate withdrawals are a sign, not of clown-car crackup, but a shaking of the foundations.

Clock Kid goes to Mecca

October 13, 2015

“Clock boy” Ahmed Mohamed made it to Mecca Friday for umrah, the Arabic word for pilgrimage, the portion of his Middle Eastern tour sponsored by the Saudi government. The trip also included the 14-year-old’s parents and other relatives, including one uncle who pushed the Islamophobia narrative.

The uncle, identified by Arab News as Moussa Al-Hassan, asserted: “The ordinary American citizen lives in a state of fear of Arabs because of the American media’s portrayal of him as an extremist terrorist.”

Cry-Bully Liberals driving Americans over the edge

October 13, 2015

We hear about them almost daily.

“Mentally ill” loners who slaughter a classroom of students before shooting themselves; young Americans, male and female, who travel overseas to join ISIS and become barbarians and sex slaves; people who amputate healthy body parts in a desperate attempt to become the opposite sex, or who purposely put drain cleaner in their eyes to blind themselves or cut off their own hand, all to “feel more comfortable” with themselves; entertainment idols who revel in wild sexuality and mock God; and of course, the latest outrages of a “transformative” president who supports America’s enemies, betrays her friends, and leads a lawless government that daily tramples the Constitution, encourages massive invasion of the American homeland and prosecutes Christians as criminals.

Yes, such sensational and bizarre stories increasingly dominate the news cycle.

Melissa Rauch brainy Big Bang beauty

October 13, 2015

The Big Bang Theory was an instant TV hit when it burst onto screens in 2007, though at the time, Melissa Rauch was resigned to watching the lives of Sheldon, Leonard and Penny unfolding on her TV set, unaware that she was soon to become one of the most loveable characters on the show.
Rauch first appeared as the sweet Dr. Bernadette Rostenkowski in a recurring role throughout Season 3, but was quickly moved up to become a series regular as her unlikely relationship with hopeless womaniser Howard Wolowitz flourished.
