January 18, 2015

Perez has HAD IT in midst of WHOOPI and ROSIE O’DONNELL squabbling!

Rosie was on “vacation” from the floundering femme-fave AM chatter when the news was announced.

Variety reported the 50 year old will not be returning after a month’s ;ong leave to perform on the show.

2 Fox News reporters fired for exposing Monsanto – VIDEO

January 18, 2015

This is video is from the documentary The Corporation which examines modern-day corporations, featuring interviews with corporate critics such as Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein and Howard Zinn.

Steve Wilson and Jane Akre were working on a series talking about health concerns related to Monsanto’s growth hormone. The growth hormone did not comply with safety requirements as highlighted by Canada health. Mysteriously that conclusion was deleted from the final published version of Monsanto’s report.

Days before the series was to begin they received a fax from one of Monsanto’s high-priced lawyers in New York, saying there will be consequences for Fox News if they proceed with the story. Scared that they were going to get sued, the general manager tried to bribe Steve and Jane, asking them not to proceed with the story and not to discuss it with anyone.

They refused and got FIRED!

Should Muslims control Free Speech rights?

January 18, 2015

What is shameful about the New York Times and the mass media – all those who proclaim the importance of the principle of free expression – is that they refused to publish the highly controversial cartoons that led to the massacres in Paris. To have done so would of course have offended some Muslims, but it would have been a real test of the meaningfulness of free expression. The NY Times, no doubt, was familiar with the position of Jay Carney, then Obama spokesperson, who said in 2012, “We have questions about the judgment of publishing” the cartoons critical of the Prophet that had been published in a Danish periodical.

British prime minister David Cameron in his press conference with President Barack Obama in the White House on January 16, 2015 spoke truth to power: “We are facing very serious Islamist terrorists threat in Europe, in America, across the world.” He instructed his listeners that there is “a poisonous fanatical death cult …perverting the religion of Islam.” It is unfortunate that a similar view of the danger of Islamic fundamentalism was expressed not by the Obama administration, but by Marine Le Pen, who believes that her own party, the right-wing National Front, is the only one willing to solve the problem.
