On Saturday, Fayetteville police detectives identified the second man killed and named two additional suspects in connection with an attempted robbery early Friday morning at a home in the Cliffdale Forest neighborhood.

Police spokesman Lt. Todd Joyce said Dominik Lavon Council, 25, died from a gunshot wound after an attempted robbery of a home on the 7500 block of Levi Road about 3:37 a.m.

A few minutes later, Joyce said, police found Council with a gunshot wound on Martha Court, one street over from Levi Road.

Investigators say Council exchanged gunfire with someone during the attempted robbery, Joyce said, but he would not say who else was involved.

Council was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he died several hours later, Joyce said.

Also fatally wounded in the incident was Xavier White, 20, whose last known address was on the 700 block of Amber Drive. He was found dead about nine miles away on South Sumac Circle near Hope Mills Road, Joyce said.

White died from a gunshot wound, Joyce said.

Joyce said detectives have identified two additional suspects – Lamyer Gorminie Campbell, 24, and Derek Rashaun Hair, 24.

Both have been charged with first-degree burglary, robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit first-degree burglary and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
