Aggression and Self Esteem

.

.

.

People often assume

aggression is derived
from low self esteem,
Melissa Burkley wrote
in‘The Social Thinker’
and reported in the
March/April 2010 issue
of Psychology Today.

However,
violent criminals think
more highly of themselves
than most other people do.

Aggression often occurs
when someone challenges
these favorable self views.
