Amy Winehouse explains her falling out with Mark Ronson.
Amy Winehouse tells Ronson truth
(ANANOVA) |
Amy Winehouse has explained how she fell out with Mark Ronson over the recording of a potential James Bond theme.
Rehab singer Amy also said how Pete Doherty reacted when she suggested the pair make a concept EP.
Amy told Rolling Stone:
“I played him [Ronson] tracks I liked, just getting the vibe, and he was like, ‘Amy, come, let’s work.’ He was really uptight.”
Producer Ronson and Amy were in Oxford working on the aborted sessions for a theme tune for the next James Bond film, Quantum Of Solace.
Amy said:
“He left after three days and I was like,
‘Breathe a sigh of relief, I’m in the country and I can write.'”
Meanwhile, Londoner Amy was on similarly honest form discussing her attempts to work with Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty.
She said:
“I asked Pete to do a concept EP and he made this face, he looked at me like I’d pooed on the floor. He wouldn’t do it.”

The Amy/Pete-duet is really a natural thing to do for these two.
I’m sure it will happen in one form or another – maybe some clever DJ will cut and paste something together and make it a huge hit.
Maybe it’s time for Winehouse to move on from Ronson – after all so many clones of that style have been established that I think this whole retro sound won’t last very long anymore. I thought about that in my blog
