Madonna has finally broken her silence about her marriage to husband Guy Ritchie and insists they have no plans to divorce.
It was reported earlier this week that the pair were on the brink of parting after both contacted divorce lawyers.
Publicist Liz Rosenberg said:
“Madonna’s husband Guy arrived in New York on Monday night to be with his wife and family.
There are no plans for Madonna and Guy to divorce.”
Reports in the US have linked Madonna to a married baseball star, Alex Rodriguez –
something else that has been denied.
The spokeswomen added:
“Madonna and Alex have the same manager, Guy Oseary. They have met. They know each other and Madonna took her kids to a Yankees game last week.
“There’s really not anything to comment on beyond that.
“It’s nothing new that people are airing tons of dirty laundry Madonna’s way lately – much of it untrue.”
However, some pals of the couple say the divorce is still on and Madonna wants to wait until after her world tour to confirm the news.
According to the Daily Mirror one said:
“Trust me, it’s over. Why else would they both consult divorce lawyers?
“Madonna hates being pushed into a corner and would hate other people having the satisfaction of saying ‘We told you so’.
The announcement will be slipped out after her tour – as planned.”
