Naomi Campbell gets a slap on the wrist instead of jail, yet again!

MAGISTRATES heard yesterday how raging
supermodel Naomi Campbell hurled vile
ABUSE and PUNCHED, KICKED
and SPAT at cops –
then they let her walk FREE,
Kathryn Lister reports for The U.K. Sun.

The crazed millionairess escaped a jail

sentence and got just 200 hours community

service and a £2,945 fine for a shocking bout

of air rage on a BA jet after her bag went missing.

During the fracas, Campbell, 38,

told police they were picking on her

because she was black and FAMOUS.

But last night there were furious claims that being a celebrity was what got her a light sentence.

Former Scotland Yard Commander John O’Connor said:

“This is a disgrace.

She basically got away with it.

It’s one rule for the rich and famous and one rule for the rest of us.

“If anyone who wasn’t a celebrity did this they’d get a custodial sentence –

but not Naomi.

She’s set a terrible example and should be locked up for it.”

Paul McKeever, chairman of the Police Federation, said:

“The courts should come down hard on those who attack police officers.”

Campbell has a history of violent outbursts –

and in 2005, allegedly slapped assistant Amanda Brack and beat her around the head with a BlackBerry personal organiser.

Yesterday she sat in the dock in an expensive Alistair McQueen black suit and SMIRKED as the charges were read out at Uxbridge Magistrates Court in West London.

Asked if she was guilty, she quietly replied:

“Yes.”

But her smug expression dissolved into tears as details of her vicious hour-long temper tantrum were revealed.

Prosecutor Melanie Parrish said the catwalk queen went berserk on board a British Airways 747 waiting to take off for Los Angeles from Heathrow’s Terminal 5 in April –
soon after its disastrous launch.

Pilot Captain Mark Sutherland revealed that several passengers’ bags had gone missing including one of Naomi’s –

containing an expensive Yves St Laurent outfit she planned to wear on a US chat show.

She roared into her mobile:

“They’ve lost my f****** bags,

get me another flight,

get hold of the press, get hold of my lawyer.”

As Captain Sutherland and other crew members tried to calm her down, Campbell screamed at them:

“Get me my f****** bags now.

F*** you, Captain, f*** you.

“You are a racist,

you would not be doing this if I was white.”

The airline summoned one of their top communication directors as shocked families with children sat nearby.

The prosecutor went on:

“Miss Campbell was extremely aggressive and used bad language peppered with the word f******.

“The crew tried their utmost to calm her as she was delaying the flight but she shouted back,

‘I don’t care if I’m delaying the flight, I want my bags’.

“Her behaviour was now beyond the way any reasonable person would behave and out of control.

“Eventually there was no choice but to call for the police for the safety of the other passengers and to allow the plane to finally take off.”

Three officers arrived, including PCs John Eastick and PC Charles Campling. But Campbell bellowed:

“F*** off, I’ve paid five grand for this seat and I have a right to be on this plane. You can’t touch me, my cousin’s Scotland Yard.”

After being warned four times she would be forcibly removed from the plane, Naomi began kicking out with her arms and legs, hitting PC Eastick on the arm with her mobile.

The model, who was wearing platform boots with spikey stiletto heels,

lashed out again and hit PC Campling

“uncomfortably near the groin”.

She kicked out again,

hitting PC Eastick in the shin and thigh,

then wedged herself between the seats to stop herself being dragged out.

And as the officers moved forward to arrest her she threw her head forward and spat at them.

A shocked male passenger fled to the stewardess’s pantry in fear.

Mrs Parrish went on:

“The struggle became increasingly violent.

She fell to the floor like a child and screamed,

‘It’s because I’m a black woman,

I’m going to sue you, I’m going to f****** sue you’.

“The situation got so bad the officers were forced to radio for leg restraints.”

After almost an hour Campbell was led

off the jet to a waiting police van.

But as woman cop Kirsty Millard tried to search her, the model began kicking the vehicle screaming:

“You bitch, I want my luggage.

This is because I am black and famous.”

When the officer ignored her, she yelled:

“You blonde bitch, answer me.”

PCs Eastick and Campling suffered

bruising and swelling to their legs.

Mrs Parrish said:

“It was sheer luck that these officers

were not more seriously injured.”

Campbell’s lawyer Simon Nicholls said:

“Here we have a 38-year-old lady of good character.

The bag was important to her because it

contained designer clothes, the tools of her job.

We are not talking about a pair of shorts and flip flops.

“She was friendly and pleasant when she first got on the plane.

“Unfortunately she lost control and the whole incident flowed from that.

She is very apologetic to the police

but she is not so sorry about BA and

she won’t be troubling them with her custom again.”

At one point after the JPs retired, Naomi asked for a cup of TEA in the dock.

It was refused.

But when she said she felt ill, she was

allowed out into a public area and ate

a chocolate bar and boiled sweets.

The model admitted two charges of assaulting police,

one charge of using threatening words

and behaviour towards a BA pilot and

a public order offence.

After the case Campbell’s spokesman Alan Edwards said:

“She is very, very relieved it is over and

she has been treated fairly.

The whole thing is regrettable, she knows that.”

Last night Campbell went on TV and accused BA staff of racism.

She told a Sky News interviewer:

““I was called a golliwog model.

I do not think that is fair, do you?

“I am proud to be a black woman.

I am proud to be British.

I am proud of the job that I do.

But I do not call anyone names or colour of their race.”

She also branded BA “disgusting”

over the T5 baggage fiasco and said the airline had

“a lot of apologising to do”.

BA rejected the racism charge.

A spokesman said:

“We fly to 90 countries and employ a multi-nationality workforce.

We are proud of our diversity.”

Campbell also attacked The Sun,

saying the newspaper wanted her in jail.

Alleged Phone Frenzy

March 31st, 2006  by Stuart Heritage

Smashing up subordinates with a telephone

in New York is the new black, from the looks

of things. First Russell Crowe went medieval

with a telephone and now, allegedly,

so has Naomi Campbell.

Naomi Campbell was charged with assault

yesterday,

after apparently hurling a mobile phone at the

back of her housekeeper’s head,

causing an injury that needed four stitches.

It’s unclear whether or not Naomi Campbell

added a few Russell Crowe-style flourishes

to the reported attack, like throwing a vase

or standing in an elaborate karate stance.

Either way,

Naomi Campbell now faces up to seven years in jail.

Naomi Campbell is one of the world’s most

recognisable faces.

And,
unlike many supermodels, Naomi Campbell

doesn’t just swan up and down
catwalks wearing fancy clothes;

she’s also done some lesbian larking
with
Madonna in the Sex book and released

a string of staggeringly bad
– yet inexplicably popular in Japan –

singles such as La La La Love
Song
. But more than that,

Naomi Campbell has a reputation

as being a wee bit vicious.
