A former Las Vegas prosecutor who was arrested on suspicion of buying cocaine and fled to Mexico was apprehended in San Diego after apparently posting on Facebook, records show.
David Schubert — a former Clark County deputy district attorney who prosecuted drug cases involving celebrities Paris Hilton and Bruno Mars — is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning, San Diego jail records show. The 49-year-old is being held on a federal fugitive warrant.
Schubert’s attorney told the Las Vegas Review-Journal his client called him from San Diego County Jail on Monday. Louis Schneider said his client was arrested at the border the day before, but had planned to fly to Las Vegas and arrange his surrender.
