Months ago, headlines screamed: “CHARLIZE THERON Leaves $96 Tip on a Frozen Yogurt!?” She’d popped into Hollywood’s Pinkberry, gobbled a $3.75 cone – then told a stunned waitress she’d forgotten her wallet!

Copping a plea, Star Cutie said she’d return to pay – and DID, tendering a generous $100! Now hear THIS: Charlize just treated three galpals to lunch at swanky Chateau Marmont, grabbed the $218 check, then gasped, deja vu: “Ohmigod – forgot my wallet again!”

Said a source: “The ladies wanted to split it, but Charlize insisted, ‘No, it’s on ME!’” Pleading poverty (of the brain?), she told her waitress she could pay some cash tucked in her pockets, but …!
 Smiling, the lass said, “No worries, you’re a good customer.”

On her way out, Charlize thanked the manager, who mentioned that the waitress, a UCLA student, was facing tough times because her car was destroyed when 20 million gallons of water from ruptured pipes flooded the campus!

“Hours later, Theron’s assistant paid the bill at Chateau – plus a thank you card for the waitress with five $100 bills tucked inside! How’s that for a heart of gold!”
