A number of celebrities who defected from the Church of Scientology have praised the new HBO exposé Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief, after the film made its cable debut Sunday night.

Oscar-winner Alex Gibney’s explosive new documentary details allegations of widespread physical and mental abuse within the church, including that it conspired to break up prominent adherent Tom Cruise’s marriage to Nicole Kidman, and that it blackmailed John Travolta into remaining a member.

“Thank you to the brave who did something about it,” former Scientologist and King of Queens star Leah Remini tweeted this week. “And to those who didn’t have a voice, you do now.”

Leah Remini is a dirty word to Kiristie Alley

September 4, 2013

Don’t mention Scientology defector LEAH REMINI on the set of “Fat Actress” KIRSTIE ALLEY’s new sitcom “Kirstie” — she just might fire you; or, worse, FALL on you…ka-BOOM!

Reports my spy, Onda Settalot: “Scientology fanatic Kirstie turned livid when she overheard two crew members talking about Leah’s bombshell defection from the Church – and how she’s writing a tell-all book that might bring it crashing down. That’s when she absolutely exploded, raging, ‘I never want to hear that woman’s name on my set!’ The shocked guys stammered apologies, and they feared they’d be fired by day’s end.”

Luckily, the blasphemers got a reprieve, but word rocketed around the set that uttering the forbidden “L” name will bring down the terrible wrath of mighty XENU on your a**!

August 15, 2013

LEAH REMINI is bracing for a backlash from celebrity Scientologists after quitting the church — but the “King of Queens” star has one high-profile ally who vows unwavering support.

Lisa Marie Presley, who reportedly abandoned the church in May 2012, has counseled Leah by phone and even invited her to her home in England to escape the turmoil, say sources.

The 43-year-old sitcom actress ditched the controversial religion in July.

Since then her war with the church has taken an ugly turn as she promised to write an expose and filed a missing persons report on the wife of its leader David Miscavige — a claim that Los Angeles police call “unfounded.”

A friend told The ENQUIRER that Leah fears retribution from the church, whose membership includes Tom Cruise, John Travolta and Kirstie Alley.

Former “Cheers” actress Kirstie posted insulting Twitter messages aimed at Leah, sources say, although Kirstie denies that the messages were about Remini. Now Katie Holmes, ex-wife of Scientologist Tom Cruise, has been dragged into the ugly war of words.

“Kirstie Alley is just a big fat bully!” Leah’s former stepmother, Donna Remini-Fiore, fumed to The ENQUIRER. “She’s an idiot to think she could control Leah. Leah has always been her own person, and Kirstie should have known better.

Leah Rimini quits the Church of Scientology

July 11, 2013

“King of Queens” star LEAH REMINI reportedly tells XENU she’s finished!

Remini. 43, is making a break for freedom from the Church of Scientology, a source said, after being subjected to years of “interrogations” and “thought modification” for questioning Scientolo kingpin David Miscavige’s rule.

The source told The New York Post Remini is quitting because of policies that don’t allow members to question Miscavige’s management or reported abuse of members by its Sea Org religious order.

The NY tab also said that Remini was said to be unhappy with Scientolgy’s standard operating procedure for forcing believers to “disconnect” from family members branded as “suppressive persons” if they choose to leave the Thetan enhanced church.

“It all began when Leah questioned the validity of excommunication of people,” the source divulged.

Some of Hollywood’s biggest names including Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Kirstie Alley and Jason Lee are members of the controversial church.
