White folk only swimming pool in the 21st century?
In the 21st century,
The Valley Club in
Huntington Valley, PA
needs to wake up and
smell the black coffee.
Creative Steps in northeast Philadelphia had made a
contract with The Valley Club
for 65 minority children
to swim in their pool.
But when the kids showed
up June 29th and got into
the pool,
only three members of
the pool club let their kids
swim in the water with
the minority children.
The other members
at the pool pulled their
kids out of the pool,
as if a shark had suddenly
entered the water.
The $1,950 dollars
Creative Steps had paid
the club for use of their pool
was refunded without
explanation a few
days later.
Perhaps the Valley Club
members who were horrified
that minority children could
share the water with their
lily white offspring need
to get a clue of what they
are teaching their children.
Bigotry is learned,
not passed on in the genes.
The backward small minded
parents of The Valley Club
taught their kids a lesson
about bigots that day.
